County Cup – beat Sibsey 7-2 (a) before losing 0-2 at Riverside (Grantham) P. Ford killed a robin on the way to match!! RE Cup beat St Helens 4-3 aet in rd 1 before going out to Wildlife 5-2. KR lsot in first rd to Waddington 2-1 aet.
Sun 2nd (managers J. Wood / Steve Asher / B. Blackband) into Div Three on reforming of League following several sides dropping out. Finished 8th from 11 – P20 W6 D1 L13 F33 A70 Pts 19 – champions were Golden Eagle (50 pts). Lost opening game 7-1 at Bassingham (8th season in a row). Top scorer M .Wood 13 goals. Ever present M. Wigley from 43 players used. Best run – won last three games of season. Worst run – lost opening five games. – Failed to pick up a point away from home scoring just 3 goals in ten games. JM Cup lost in 1st rd to Grafton House 3-1. FQ Cup beat Castle Ward 6-1 then went out to Greenbank 1-0. Cautions 3.

County Cup beat Retford 5-0 but then went out to Alstom 2-0.
LC beat Nettleham 2-1 after two drawn games in rd 1, Beat Old Leake 7-3 and then went out to BRC Celtic 4-1.

At AGM Treasurer reported (for 4th successive season) was up at £1,879.13 – expenditure was at an all time high being £17,546.46. – Total income was £19,426.18 and the club stood at £7,378.59 - £800 had been spent on the purchase of a 1948 Massey Ferguson tractor and harrows for use by groundsmen.

Sun 1st Kelly Read Cup semi finalist – losing 2-1 a.e.t to Woodhall. Both clubs then went on to make claims about ineligible players. League eventually threw both teams out. Waddington were awarded the cup without playing. The ineligible player for us was Sam Miller who had signed for Woodhall before signing for us and had not transferred.
County Cup lost 4-2 on pens after 2-2 draw to Alstom in Prel.
RE lost in rd 1 to FC Celtic 4-1.
Sun 2nd XI (Gary Wilkinson manager) 10th from 12 in Div Three P22 W4 D4 L14 F42 A64 Pts 16 – avoided drop by 2 pts from Skellingthorpe Blue Anchor by beating Ship Inn Saxilby in last game– champions were Hykeham Harrows (59 pts) – For 9th season lost opening game – Blue anchor winning 4-3. Top scorer Andy Gray 10 goals. Best run – two wins in a row three times 28 Oct to 4 Nov. 20-27 Jan and 24 Feb to 3 Mar. Worst run – lost last five games. First league win did not come until 10 Feb – 11 games in. Ever present A. Gray from 39 players used. Cautions 1 (Patey). S. Bell made 200th club appearance v Stagshead on 9 Dec.
Fred Quibell Cup beat Nosey Parker 6-4 aet / Staghead 5-1 and Bailgate 4-1 in ¼ final but were thrown out for playing two ineligible players (Tom Asher / James Patey) – played too many 1st XI games.
U18 – managers R. Creasey / G. Buckberry .6th/ 12 in South League- Sleaford champions. Top scorer B. Garrick 29 goals. (he made his 100th youth appearance v Leasingham 6 Jan and scored his 100th goal (115 games) v Manor 24 Feb. Cautions 7. Best run 3 wins in a row (twice) 17 Nov to 15 Dec and 27 Jan to 10 Feb. Club ran 12 teams in 2002-03
Sat XI (managed by Andy Gray) finished 11th/15 in Saturday League (only one league) – P28 W8 D7 L13 F45 A47 Pts31 – champions- Saxilby (72 pts) – the team had its worst discipline record in recent years with 18 cautions and one sending off (S. Benton). During season 41 players were used with no one ever present. Until March the team had not won two games back to back. The best run then saw two wins in a row (twice) 8 Mar to 15 Mar then the last two games of season when they completed their only league double – Over Ivy Tavern ! – The worst run saw thee defeats in a row from 21 Dec to4 Jan. – Top scorer was Ben Garrick with 8 goals. 3 players made 100th appearance, namely Stuart Audis, Phil Mason and Adrian Wild.
In LJC beat Wrangle (a) 4-2 before losing 2-0 at home to Scunthonians in rd 2
AC went out in first round 6-0 at home to Sleaford Town Res
DC Cup beat Fulbeck 1-0 in Rd 1 which took us to the s/f where we lost 3-0 to Coleby.
In VT lost 3-2 at Skellingthorpe in Rd 1.
Sunday 1st XI (managed by Steve Asher / John Wood / Alan Brown) finished 10th from 12 in 3rd season in Premier League – P22 W3 D2 L17 F28 A94 pts 11 - champions Stags (56 pts) – the team failed to win a home league game all season picking up just one point – the first time in their history. Top scorer was Adam Weston with 14 goals. 8 cautions were registered. M. Abbott was ever present in 35 players used. Best run was to go unbeaten in two games (1 win / 1 draw) 26 Jan – 9 Feb. D. Orrey and J. Metheringham both made 100th 1st XI appearance. Side suffered worst Premier League defeat when losing 11-3 to champions Stags – Ben Garrick got all three goals.
In County Cup beat Nortoft 5-2 (a) in Prel. before going out in next round 7-3 at home to AFC Victory.
RE Cup lost in 1st rd 5-3 at home to Barker Ross.
KR Cup beat Stags Head 4-0, then FVA Jerusalem 5-2 before going out in ¼ final at Div 3 side Ingham 4-0
Sunday 2nd XI (manager Gary Wilkinson – helped by B. Blackband)) 4th / 10 in Div 3 – P18 W11 D1 L6 F46 A35 pts 34 – champions Ingham (47 pts) – the team won only two of their first seven games (worst run was losing opening two games) 10th season to lose opening game – this time to Sporting Unison 4-1 but then set a record for the 2nd XI by winning nine in a row from 24 Nov to 2 Mar. Finishing fourth in Div 3 was highest position ever achieved Champions. were Ingham 13 pts ahead). Top scorer Simon Toop 11 goals – 32 players were used with keeper Steve Thornton missing only one. 5 cautions were recorded.
FQ Cup beat Nettleham 2-0 (a) Rd 1, then Eagle (a) 2-1 aet and Jetland 4-0 in rd 3. Castle Ward 3-2 (1/4 final) before losing semi final 2-1 to FC Middle) (scorer Nick Kay) FC Middle lost to Ship Inn Saxilby in final
U18 managed by Roy Creasey / Graham Buckberry) runners-up in U18 “South” League – champions were Alstom (4 pts ahead)– they were undefeated in their last fourteen league games. Worst run – lost two in a row (twice) 6 -13 Oct and 16 – 23 Mar. Top scorer A. Weston 32 goals. 5 cautions – 3 dismissed (A. Buckberry then D. Moon and A. Creasey in same game at Buckminster) . A. Creasey and D. Moon ever present. Roy and Graham won Club Manager’s of the Season . A. Buckberry played 200th youth game, A. Weston 100th. A little snippet – Ben Garrick came on as a substitute against Caythorpe and then hit five goals in 11-0 victory.

Worst run lost three in a row 2 Mar to 11 Oct but failed to win in 6 from 2 Feb to 11 Apr. Reached ¼ final of County Cup beating Crosby Inst 10-1, Wilsons (Gy) 2-0 before losing on penalties after 0-0 aet at Boston FC.

Best run won first three games and in total went unbeaten at start of season for 5 games. Then won 3 in a row from 8 Feb to 2 Mar. Cautions 1 (J. Atkin) – sending offs 1 – Andrew Mellor who played his 100th game one week then was sent off the next. Also played 110th game were C .Donald, S. Ellis, and T. Robinson. Ever present were S. Ellis and A. Mellor
U14 – managers - Tom Styring / P. Petch – runners up / 11 in “C” League (Chmapions Babworth – two pts ahead). Top scorer J. Nichols 39 goals. – cautions 1 (Matt Robinson) – Best run – won 5 in a row from 29 Sept to 3 Nov but also went unbeaten from 26 Jan to end of season – 8 games (winning 6). M. Petch and J. Miller both played 100th games.
Beat Ludford 6-1 in County Cup (Prel) before going out to Gonerby 6-0 in rd 1. Ever present were – P. Cheung, J. Nichols, M. Robinson and L. Wells.
U13 – managers – Derek Sampson / Lee Daubney – initially R. Hargrave held position before dispute – 11th / 13 in “A” League (champions Louth OB). Top scorer T. Garrick 21 goals. Best run – never won two in a row after opening season with a 15-0 win in League Cup against Branston. 3 players, L. Hargrave, D. Atkin and Tom Garrick all made 100th appearance. Ever present were D. Atkin, J. Fletcher, C. Hall and l. Hargrave.

U8 – managers Carole Hargrave / Paul Shores – 10th / 11 in “A” League (champions Lowlands)(first female manager in club’s history – Carole Hargrave – Ass. Paul Shores) - in their first season in competitive football they lost their opening game 20-0 at home to Manor. They reached the League Cup semi final but lost heavily to the favourites Greenbank 15-0. Best run was 2 wins in a row from 3 Nov to 10 Nov. The side finished 7th / 15 (P28 W13 D4 L11 F62 A55 Pts 43) – Saxilby (72 pts) were again champions. The teams discipline was vastly improved with only 5 cautions and no send-offs. 38 players were used during the season with no one ever present – Stuart Audis missed only one game. Gary Backhouse made his 100th appearance .v. Harby (13 Sept). Ben Garrick was top scorer with 28 goals in 30 games.
Village Trophy: Team received walk-over in first tie due to Woodhall dropping out – Then in semi finalists .v. Ruskington – beating them 3-0 to reach first final of competition since 1988/89
Met Heckington in final at Ashby Av. but were 3-0 down inside 20 minutes. A better second half performance saw no further goals and the side gain some respectability after their poor start.
Lincs Junior Cup – won 6-2 at West Pinchbeck then lost at West Lindsey league side FC Rustons 5-1.
Amateur Cup – beat Wildlife (a) 1-0 in Rd 1 then went out 2-1 at home to Fulbeck
David Cooper Cup – lost 2-0 at Plough Skellingthorpe in first tie.
Sun 1st XI – Premier League (4th season)– (Managers SA / JW / AB)
Barker Ross dropped out of League at beginning of season but a run of six straight defeats at the end of the season by the team saw them finish bottom of the League (10 teams) (P18 W3 D2 L13 F27 A55 Pts 11) Champions were Stags with Celtic-Victory RU– during the season the side only had one back to back wins .v. Bassingham (RE Cup) and Woodhall (CC). They did however achieve their first ever league double in the Prem though with two victories over Friendship. 34 players were used with Tom Asher missing only one and only three cautions recorded by team. Top scorers were Ben Garrick and Phil Mason with seven goals each. Matt Wood made 100th appearance v Waddington on 28 Sept
Sun 2nd XI – Division Two (up to Div 2 as leagues reformatted due to sides dropping out) – manager G. Wilkinson - 5th / 10 with two sides Sporting Unison and Cranwell PSC dropping out. Side lost first two games before run of four wins – poor run at end of season with3 draws and 3 defeats in last six games (P18 W6 D5 L7 F 44 A39 Pts 23 – Champions were AFC Turks with Ship Inn Saxilby RU. LOST OPENING GAME FOR 11TH SUCCESSIVE SEASON – THIS TIME TO Railway Colts (Thorpe) 2-0. At AGM Treasurer report it had been a fairly reasonable season but as members could see expenditure was at an all time high. This was due mainly to installing the Training Lights (£4,670.00) and replacing a set of goal-posts. It was agreed strong fund-raising was needed to get us back onto an even footing as we had a working loss on the year of £5,377.34

At AGM Chairman John Wood reported that last season had been one of the most successful in 15 years as Chairman. The Sat XI reached a Final and 3 juniors sides finished in the top two places in their respective league.
At AGM Treasurer the club had had another working loss on the year – this time of £1,020.46 – which was somewhat disappointing. Income had increased on the previous year by just over £1,000 and although expenditure had gone down by £3,000 on previous season it had still seen us with a deficit. The Club stood at £2,956.76 – our lowest balance since 1996/97 ( £2239.63) – total income was £13,262.55 – expenditure £14,283.01

Went out in LJC in first round to CGB Humbertherm (Lincs League side) who had been allowed entry into the competition for the first time on the down grading of the Lincs League in the FA Pyramid. Beat Ruston Sports Res 1-1 aet (H) in penalty shoot out in DC Cup Rd 1 but eliminated because S. Brumpton had not been signed on 7 clear days.
AC went out to Cherry Knights 8-2 in Rd 1 (H). VT went out Plough Skellingthorpe in Rd 1 4-2 (a)

At the AGM Chairman John Wood in his 17th year as chairman stated how proud he was to be involved in the club at the present time
Treasurer Roger Dawson in his 41st Season advised those present that the last season had been one of the best in recent times. The total income took us over the £20K mark with £20,068.23 - £3,300 more than was raised the previous year. Expenditure too was up from £13,943.00 to £15,109.16 but a working deficit of £91.098 was turned around to one of £2,093.39 which was excellent. Derek Sampson was commended for his hard work on the fund-raising side, especially with the bag-packing and Fun Day.

Harby (points awrded I home game) and Ruston Sports Res (points deducted in home game for playing ineligible player). The team suffered 18 cautions and two dismissals in season (sent off A. Woodhall and G. McDowall both against Cherry Knights) – previous season it was 13/3).
The team reach Rd 2 of Lincs Junior Cup with wins over Limestone Rangers 1-0, Alford Town 5-0 before going out to North Somercotes 4-0. Grimsby Borough beat Skegness Town 4-3 on penalties after 3-3 (a.e.t) to win final.
In Village Trophy Heckington won 4-1 in Rd1. – Plough won final against Heckington 2-0
In Amateur Cup beat Ruston sports Res 3-2 aet before going out in semi final to Plough Skellingthorpe 5-3 after extra time. AF Victory beaten Plough Skellingthorpe 65-0 in final.
In David Cooper Cup beat Rustons United 4-3 and then went out to Fulbeck in ¼ final 3-2 on penalties after 0-0 draw a.e.t. AFC Victory beat Heckington 2-1
James Metheringham made 400th club appearance on 17 Nov .v. FC Rustons and 100th Sat XI game in same match. Andy and Graham McDowall both made 100th Sat XI appearance in same game. Simon Sewell reached 150 club games on 29/3/08 against Plough FC. Graham McDowall reached 200 club games at home to Cherry Knights on same day as he was sent off. 30 players used in 22 games with captain, Matt Abbott only ever present player. Gary Burr and Ben Heaver only missed one game each. One league double was achieved against Cherry while champions Golden Eagle were the only side to complete a league double. Best run was winning 3 games in a row from 23 Feb to 16 March. Worst runs were a failure to win opening 4 games and then losing last four games. The team suffered only 8 cautions in season (the same as last season) with the team not having anyone sent off for a second successive season. Matt Abbott played his 150th 1st XI game on 11/11/07 against Ruston sports. Ben Garrick reached 100 1st XI game against lord Burghley in CC on 9 Sept. Ben Heaver reached 100 1st XI games .v .Welton on 16/12/07. Jon Miller made 100th club appearance against Rustons on 10/2/08 and Adam Weston made 100th club appearance against Tower Athletic on 23/2/08.
In cup competitions we went out of Sunday County cup at first hurdle against Lord Burghley.
In Ron Eaglen cup it was again early exit going out in first round to Ruston Sports 3-1. And disappointedly the team went out of the Kelly Read cup in ¼ final to Div one side and holders Nettleham 2-1. They went on to beat Jerusalem in final.

Players lost from last season Richard Ayre, Vince Harley, Lee Johnson, - Arno Steffieri left at Christmas due to travelling problems (moved back to Peterborough), Shaun Booth transferred to Cherry Willingham, Shaun Matthews, joining the team were Mark Sinclair, Gianni Viscomi and keeper James Young.

Top scorer was Paul Cook with 15 goals in 13 games. Average age of side 21.06 - Biggest win 8-0 at Heighington in final game to win league. Worst defeat 3-1 reverse at South Clifton on 20 Jan. Best run was winning 8 games in a row from 2 Mar to end of season – this also saw side go 13 games unbeaten from 27 Jan to end of season. Worst run was a failure to win in 3 games from 13 to 27 Jan. Discipline spiralled out of control this season with 5 players sent off – P. Cook (Swan Ath) / A. Shear, G. Viscomi (Nettleham) / A. Woodhall (Scothern) and G. McDowall (South Clifton). Previous season the team had 17 cautions and 3 sent off. 34 players were used in 23 games played with skipper Andy McDowall missing only the last game following injury in Sat XI Sincil Bank cup final the previous day, and Rick Waite. In case of Rick he missed just one game in three seasons.
Andy McDowall passed 200 club games against Scothern on 27 Jan. Nick Kay 100th 2nd XI game (the most for club) against City Vaults on 23/9/07. Wayne Christian played 100th club game at home to Crows Ath on 16 Mar and Lee Johnson scored 100th club goal (110 games) against Nettleham on 2/3/08.
The team completed six league doubles against Jerusalem, Crows, Burtons, Bassingham, Royal Oak and Heighington. A 20 year hoodoo was also buried wit the team winning their opening game of the season for the first time in the sides 21 year history.

Biggest win was against Manor United Res 10-1 in last game of season which helped team avoid relegation on goal difference. Worst defeat was 6-0 to champions Hykeham Plough on 9/12/07. The only league double completed was against promoted side Sleaford Raiders while Hykeham Plough, North Scarle and Bailgate all completed doubles. The sides discipline was one of the best in the club with just 3 cautions and one dismissal (P. Mason at Sleaford Raiders – but not recorded). Last season 5 cautions 2 sent off. The team failed to win two games in a row and the best runs was winning one and drawing one between 23 Sept and 7 Oct. The worst run was to lose 4 in a row from 11/11 to 9/12/07. Chris Chapman made his 100th club appearance against Royal Mail on 23/9/07.
In cup competitions the team beat Div 6 side Potterhanworth in JM Cup Rd 1 before going out to Sleaford Raiders in Rd 2. In FQ cup Div 5 side Travellers Rest Res beat them 2-1 in Rd 1.

Best run was winning 4 games in a row – 19 Nov to 17 Dec. Worst run was losing two in a row twice (28/10 to 11/11) and (23/12 to 6/1). Discipline saw 11 cautions and two dismissals (J. Smith / J. Thorpe) – last season saw 17 cautions and 1 sent off. Five league doubles were completed against Manor / Travellers / Woodhall / Greenbank and Claytons while only the two sides who finished in top two places completed league doubles over us. During season a number of milestones were reached with Dan Atkin reaching 200 games, Tony Sewell, David Sampson and Adam Gardiner reaching 150 and Josh Wallace 100. Best run was winning 4 in a row 20/1 to 10/2/08 – Worst run was losing opening 4 games (3 League / 11 cup). League doubles 3 against Coningsby, Heighington and East Coast. Welton and Swift completed doubles. Discipline saw 10 cautions incurred by 7 players – this was an increase of 8 on last season. Milestones reached saw Jon Wright, Rikki Smith and Ben Garrick all pass 150 appearances. Those passing 100 appearances included Matt Blackband and Ryan Petch while Ben Garrick reached 50 goals (149 games) from midfield. The team went out in both the County Cup and League Cup in the first round.

Paul Chambers joined club as assistant to JH as did Sammy Hargrave who had played a junior level until joining Lincoln City. P20 W7 D1 L12 F62 A84 Pts 15 -8th – champions Babworth (40 pts) – R-Up Scampton (31 pts). Top scorer Leon Thornton 26 goals from 19 games. – 16 players were used in 20 games with Tom Beck and Ryan Metheringham ever present. Biggest win was beating Caythorpe 15-0 in the first competitive game and then repeating score against Boston Pilgrims in penultimate games. The team failed to win two successive games but once went unbeaten in two from 2/3 to 9/3/08. Worst run was losing five in a row from 11/11/07 to 6/1/08. Two league doubles were recorded against Caythorpe and Boston Pilgrims. Six sides did likewise, Babworth, Balderton, Hykeham, Scampton, Young Dons and Woodhall.
Under 7 – Chris Wood – Darren Lindsey – team played friendlies only with intention of joining league next season.
Through the season
Aug 2007 season opened with over 100.00 owed in outstanding player fines. Finally a Building Certificate was issued by NKDC for Temporary Dressing Room on Car Park.
Several Junior players from last years teams had moved on with Kayleigh Packwood (U12) going to Lincoln City School of Excellence, Charlie Garrick (U12) to Boston Academy and Josh Burke (U13) too.
Again problem with hot water at School dressing room facilities. Also hopefully in not to distant future the access facility to toilets will be in place. This was on-going from an initial enquiry in Nov 06.

Shutter door fitted at school so access to toilets was available at last – only problem now was issue and usage of keys!
Sat XI docked 3 points for playing Ben Garrick who was not registered. Garrick also suspended by FA as he was booked and gave name of Dan Atkin even though opposition and ref knew who he was.
Ben Garrick signed as contract player with Spalding Town meaning he can no longer play for Club.
Sun 2nd XI player Sean Booth transferred to Cherry Willingham
Treasurer reported a working loss to date of over £2,500.00 - he suggest we need to pull our purse strings in.
Nov 2007 – club charged by FA for misconduct by spectator at U18 game at Gonerby when linesman was head-butted. Letter in mitigation sent to FA and although case was proven – NFA.
Chairman congratulated Youth teams in the fact that –for first time – we had three sides in the ¼ of the league cup competitions, namely U9 / U10 and U12’s – despite this all were beaten.
17/11/07 James Metheringham reached 400 club games – in same game against FC Rustons United he also reached 100 Sat XI matches
Dec 2007 - Club did bag-packing at Morrison’s raising £704.00
Another player Luke Jones (U12) was asked to join Boston Academy. Club wrote to FA / LFA and Youth League re illegal approach for second occasion this season by Boston – ie Luke Jones and Josh Burke. Luke Jones decided not to go.
Club wrote to all local School asking if they would like to join the club to raise both profiles with Charter Status levels.
Smart and Cook Insurance brokers finally came up with insurance for Temp Dressing room and Club outbuildings – cost £472.00
Temporary Dressing room attacked by vandals on three separate occasions, smashing Perspex windows.
Jan 2008 – Andy and Graham McDowall both reached 100 appearance for Sat XI in game against Ruston Sports Res. Andy capped it with hat-trick from midfield.
Tony Sewell hit 100th goal for U18’s in youth football for club (140 games) .v. Ruston Sports.
Steve Bell decided to hang up his boots from playing for Sun “A” – aged 47.
Lincoln City advise they have been watching U12 player Ridwan Sadi.
Graham McDowall capped his 200th club game by being sent off in Sat XI game with Cherry Knights. Following day Andy McDowall reached 200th club game against Scothern for Sun 2nd XI.
Chairman John Wood advised Committee that we were running at a working loss on the season of £1,700.
Feb 2008 - Ex player Dayne Grove died aged 19 after lengthy illness bravely borne. Family to present trophy to club in his memory.
C. Ford and B. Blackband planted 200 trees around training area on behalf of Parish Council.
Ridwan Sadi (U12) reached 150 goals in just 42 games against Babworth.
Jon Wright made 150th youth appearance against N. Somercotes.
Mar 2008 – large tree between Star & Garter and Training area blown down in overnight storm – Cost Parish Council over £600 to have it removed.
Sat XI reported by referee A. Woolley at Mkt Rasen for his flag being broken – club fined by LFA £50 and warned as to future conduct. Sat XI slipped into bottom four in league at end of March which then placed them in the Horace Franklin Cup competition.
Apr 2008 – Sat XI reached HF Cup final with biggest win of season (8-0) against Harby.
Club held Race Night in S&G in company with Bowls Club – Total profit to be shared between club was £960.00
Speculation that Sun 2nd would be looking to split from club should they finish season in top tow places in Division One which would prevent them being promoted for second season.
Club agreed that Dayne Memorial Trophy would be presented to Junior player of season picked from U8 up to U16.
Jamie Kutzner scored 100th junior goal (125 games) in game against Welton
Dan Atkin made 200th youth appearance and Tony Sewell 150th against Claytons U18’s.
Sat XI win Horace Franklin Cup final at Sincil Bank , beating Cherry Knights 4-0 (Miller 2, Purbrick, Goodwin).
Sun 2nd win last game of Season, beating Heighington 8-0 to become Division One Champions.
Sun “A” win last match of season, beating Manor Utd Res 10-1 to avoid relegation from Div 4 on goal difference.
U15’s win last game of season at Heckington 6-5 with goal in last minute by captain Glenn Marr to become champions of their league.
U9 beaten to league title by Heighington with a goal in the last minute.
Father of U8 player Leon Thornton cause controversy in club threatening to form U8’s next season at Billinghay from where they came taking most of team. Mr Thornton went to press in local Billinghay magazine stating Billinghay had had enough trouble with Metheringham Football Club 30 years ago! One had to question why he brought his son to play at Metheringham in the first place. The club refused to get embroiled in this issue but in response it was felt there had been numerous excellent players join our club from their village over recent years and some of ours had even gone in the opposite direction so why such comment was warranted was a mystery.

Club has outstanding fines owed by players totally £162.00
Charity Match between Club Select Squad and Dunston XI finished 7-4 a.e.t. £80.00 collected towards St Barnabas Hospice.
“Temporary” Dressing rooms and other areas daubed with graffiti. Police apprehended those concerned who were made to clean it up under supervision.
Junior Presentations held in Village Hall on two evenings with two representatives from Lincoln City Ladies making the presentations. These “ladies” had met the all-conquering Arsenal Ladies in the semi final of the Women’s FA Cup – losing 5-1.
