1991-92
At AGM the Treasurer report a balance of £1,326.70 – total
income over last season was £7,338.05 with expenditure £6,211.36 – a
working profit on the season of £474.24
Main expenditure again was Equipment and laundry. G. Gridley made a comment that Gate Receipts were £50 down
on the previous season and all teams were guilty of not making an effort in this avenue.
The Chairman proposed that the Club format a “Constitution”
The system of the combined Tote and Match Fees had not worked properly during the
previous seaon and it was decided that Match Fees would be set at £1.00
and Tote would be ancillary.
In the light of additional teams the matter of
pitch availability was raised. B. Blackband advised that the School were happy
for the pitch to be increased in size to cater for U11 / U12’s – the
other pitch to the south of the sports field too was to be increased in size.
At the present time the LCC marked the pitches out and this was under discussion.

At AGM the identity of a manager for
the Sun 2 nd XI was discussed and it was felt a sound suggestion would be to
approach John Goddard. He was approached and was interested but did not want
to be involved in committee issues. P. Ford felt he might have to be involved
in running this team.
Match fees were set for season at – Senior 50p plus at least £1.00
Tote. Juniors U14-U16 - £1.00 (not eligible to be in Tote). U10-U13 - 50p
It was passed that the official colours of the club would by Red shirts black shorts and socks.
Following the success of the recent Junior Six-a-side
tournament it was agreed to hold a similar one on the Spring Bank Holiday
Sat XI – Lincoln League Division One – after AGM and before season
commence the Saturday XI was withdrawn from the league and Metheringham had
no Saturday side for the first time in many years.

1/9/97 – ex player Brian Blow died
During season Justin Rose was sent
off at Horncastle in Sun 2 nd XI game for alleged assault on referee Keith
Blanchard (he grabbed his collar). The game was abandoned and the Club was
also reported for the conduct of their spectators. (five of them !). At FA
hearing this charge was not proven. Justin was fined over £100 and banned
for 184 days. He also received a 5 year ban by the Sunday League.
During season Richard Hunt and Kevin Ryan represented the Club for the County Under 18’s
At the end of the season (in the summer) ex-player Stuart Wilson (who had since
joined another club) was killed in a car accident at Whisby.
1998-99

In league champions only side to win at ohme and then they completed a double
as they became first side to beat Metheringham away on 18 April. 118 league and
cup goals scored with five players getting double figures.

Barker Ross (55 pts) – For 7th successive season side got off to a losing
start in the league. Top scorer – A. Gray 7 goals. – Cautions Nil – but

FQ lost in extra time to Cherry Willingham in rd 1
Keeper Neil Griffiths then transferred to Lincoln Railway and manager used 6
different goal in next six games – losing five and drawing 1. Griffiths
then re-signed which saw team draw 3, lose one and win one. During season only
one away win was registered but five draws. A. Gray was banned for 42 days for
his sending off but on his return he played his 100th 2nd XI game v Waddington
Res 9 Apr.
