Do you know how to find a PEARL?

(Personal Educational Advice for Rural Learners)
Pearl Logo Are you over 19?
Are you considering a change in direction?
Are you thinking about part-time study to fit in with family or domestic commitments?
Have you been away from education for a while?
Have you now the time to study a subject that appeals?

The PEARL Project is a Lincolnshire based initiative with Personal Educational Advisers located throughout the county. Their task is to provide advice and information to the local community on the range of university and college courses available within Lincolnshire and to help individuals identify opportunities suitable to their needs.

"Did you know that, if you are a mature student, many Universities and Colleges do not always insist on formal qualifications for entry onto Higher Education courses?"

What does PEARL offer?

  • A service that is FREE to the user,
  • A Personal Educational Adviser who will work with you on a one to one basis,
  • Information on courses and qualifications available throughout Lincolnshire. Including full-time, part-time and distance learning, Higher Education qualifications and courses leading to these,
  • Information on course enrolment dates, venues and procedures,
  • Help and advice on course fees.

If any of this sounds interesting to you and you would like to see if studying could be a realistic option, contact your nearest adviser, who will be happy to offer advice and information on the courses and support services provided for students.

The local Metheringham area adviser for the PEARL project is Sue Brisland (based at University of Lincoln) Tel.01522 886939 Fax:01522 886900
