MACLA Newsletter

Metheringham Area Community Leisure Association

Leisure Association Wins Lottery grant

What a great way to be able to introduce our first full Newsletter! I am delighted to announce that MACLA won a bid for lottery funding and has received £3681 from the National Lotteries Charities Board, as part of the "Millennium Festival Awards for All" programme.
The money is to buy a computer and "desk-top publishing software to enable us to create Newsletters without having to rely on the generous goodwill and assistance of North Kesteven District Council.

The even better news is that, when we have bought and tested the new equipment we aim to find ways of making it available to other organisations in our area. This is a community leisure association, and we have your interests at heart.

On that note, please take the opportunity to make this Newsletter work for you. It will be published 3 - 4 times a year, and we hope to distribute it free to every house in Metheringham and nearby villages.

If you would like more people to know about your organisation, and perhaps circulate a diary of events for the next 3 or 4 months, then send me the information. For non-profit making organisations we will include an item in the Newsletter free of charge. And for profit-making organisations and businesses we levy only a small charge to help with our printing costs.

I look forward to hearing from you.
