Metheringham Area Community Leisure Association

SUMMER SCHOOL 2001 MAY BE A POSSIBILITY

Metheringham Area Leisure Association Committee members have been in touch with North Kesteven District Council's Sports Outreach Officer, Lee Dolby. Lee generously gave up an evening to come and talk to us about organising leisure activities for youngsters in the Metheringham area during next year's Summer holiday. The ideas raised so far include a range of sports as well as drama and dance sessions.

Lee and his colleagues would be on hand to give help and advice, and to guide us through the various procedures. He will also point us in the direction of suitable coaches I teachers and tell us where we might apply for grants to help with the running costs.

But whether the idea comes to fruition or not will mainly depend upon the effort that we as a community are prepared to put into it. If you would like to know more, and especially if you think that you could spare a little time to help out. Alan Brown is the village contact on 01526 321879
