Money-Saving Tip!

Points of View

Just in case you haven’t heard, you might be entitled to a rebate on your water charges.

On the back of the 2001/2002 bill from Anglian Water is a paragraph headed “Surface Water Drainage Charges”.  It starts with “Customers who believe their premises are not connected to the public sewerage system for surface water drainage may be entitled to pay a lower standing charge”.

So, if the water that collects in your gutters and goes down a drainpipe doesn’t go into the sewers, you could get your water bill reduced.

To ask for an application form, phone 0800 919155. You will be asked for your customer account number, which is shown near the top of your bill.

Calling all Walkers

In our February issue we published an item about setting up a “Walking Club”.

The response has been very good, but unfortunately organised walks have been put on hold because of the foot and mouth epidemic.

As soon as we return to normality, the new Walking Club will be organising some outings. If you haven’t joined yet, but would like to, contact Wendy on 01526 320686

Disgraceful Behaviour

Monday 12th February was the day that we found our hard-working caretaker (Mrs Taylor) cleaning horrible graffiti from the school wall.

This had occurred some time during the previous weekend.

The teachers and some children were very angry and upset. We are very proud of our school, it is a very special place.

In assembly, Miss Smith talked to us about the disgraceful behaviour of the people who did it.

Why do some people spoil things for other people?
