The Over 60’s Club meet on the first Wednesday of each
month from 7pm until 9.30pm.We have entertainment from September to May. In June, July and August we go on coach outings and try to
cater for all people’s tastes.
In the various months so far this year we have enjoyed:
* Country Contrasts singing duo and an outing to see
Calamity Jane put on by the pupils of Branston School
* AGM plus quiz and bingo, plus an outing to see
Danny at the Palace Theatre, Newark
* Cool & Country singing duo, plus outings to
Lincolnshire Concert Band’s spring concert, Oklahoma at the Theatre Royal
Lincoln, and shopping plus Old Time Music Hall matinee at Newark.
* Free afternoon tea, entertainment and outing to Melton
Mowbray and Rutland Water
* Outing to St Peter’s Church Whaplode Flower festival
and Baytree Nurseries.
* Coach outing to the Royal Armouries in Leeds
* Outing to Yarmouth, and our very first weekend away -
to Beamish and Durham, which was a Huge success.
* Terry Barnett / stained glass window and wildlife slide
show plus a coach outing to the Black Country Museum at Dudley.
For the rest of the 2001/2002 season, we look forward to

Theatre trip to see the Pyjama Game
November PC Richard Parker on Safety in the Home, and
a talk by John Campbell (the Dean’s verger); Lincolnshire Concert band’s
Remembrance Concert, and Christmas shopping in Doncaster
December Christmas draw and entertainment by the
Guides; outing to Lincolnshire Concert Band’s Christmas Concert
January New Year Dinner, which is free for members,
entertained afterwards by a magician
February Entertainment by David St Paul, who is a
singer

May Ladies Barber Shop Singers
Each month we go to the Bowling Alley in Lincoln to have a
friendly game of bowls.
