Metheringham Senior Citizen’s Welfare Committee

The Annual General Meeting of the Metheringham Bowls Club was held in the Clubhouse on 9th October. During a lively and constructive meeting, a number of issues were raised and discussed, and a new Committee elected.

The outgoing officers, President Bob Hann, Chairman John Stanford, Secretary John Browett and the treasurer gave their reports on the past year’s highly successful activity, and were thanked for their efforts on behalf of the club during 2001.

For 2002, John Browett was elected as President as well as retaining the post of Club Captain. Mike Reep takes over as Chairman and Jim Bean as Secretary. Treasurer Jane Pryor retains her post.

The club will again field teams in 7 different leagues in 2002 so that the maximum number of club members can have regular competitive games. The normal full range of club competitions will be offered and there will be a number of social and fund raising activities taking place during the year, including a few that will be open to the village as a whole. Watch the Newsletter and notices around the village for details.
