An Ode to Santa

|

There's a cold wind outside,
Warmth within.
Jack frost is about,
Go out not in clothes thin.
Lo' there are reindeer aloft,
Santa's at hand.

Roll out the red carpet
and offer him cheer.
Offer no Gin, or Whiskey or Beer,
For of drinking and driving he has a fear.

It's a long way to the North Pole,
He needs a head which is clear.
If his vision became blurred
And his hands ceased to steer,
Pray, what would we do
For a Santa next year!

We wish you a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.
