Local Cricket Club Awards for 2006
Blankney Cricket Club
Blankney Cricket Club held their annual Dinner at Branston Hall Hotel in October with President, Mr Richard Parker and Mrs Ruth Parker the guest’s of honour. Around 70 people attended the event with the President making the following awards:

Will Pillinger also won the Lincoln Premier League, Batting Averages and came second in the Most Catches Award (8 catches).
Other awards
“Wide” Bat Award for most ducks – Lee Allman – 6 (all “Golden Ducks”!!)
Young Player of the Season – Sam Palmer
Clubman of Season Award – Roger Morrell

Martin Cricket Club
Martin Cricket Club, who finished the 2006 season as Champions of Division Two of the Lincoln League, held their presentation evening in the Royal Oak at Martin in November.
Award winners were:
Top Batsman – Simon Godby
Top Bowler – Dave Gollop
Top Fielder – Simon Godby – 6 catches
Clubman of Season – Steve Bailey
Simon Godby also won the Division Two Batting Averages with
an average of 121.50) - Dave Gollop (43.50) finishing 5th.
Godby hit the highest score in the entire Lincoln League during the season with an amazing score of 197 not out. Despite having an average of 121.50 he did not finish top of the League Averages, this went to Division One side, Hykeham’s Paul Bassingthwaite who had an average of 139.67.
Dave Gollop was second in the Division Two bowling average with an average of 9.68

Nocton Cricket Club
Nocton Cricket Club held its end-of-season presentation evening at the Ten-Pin Bowling Alley at Lincoln in November. After a hearty meal and an appreciation of a successful season (6 wins from 16 games) the following awards were made:
Batting: David Franklin Single wicket: Matt Gaunt
Bowling: John Credidio Men of Matches: D. Franklin & J. Credidio
Fielding: David Franklin Clubmen: Cameron Donald & Bruce Donald
All-rounder: Darren Swift Most Improved: Simon Bates
Young Player: Simon Bates President’s: Andy Chapple
Most Ducks: Simon Bates (that young man again!)
David Franklin also won the League Division Three Wicket-Keeper Award.
Finally, special thanks went to tea-lady Carolyn Franklin.
