Linwood Hall, Blankney
I am researching ancestors who lived at Lindwood Hall, Blankney. Can anyone shed any light on Linwood Hall, what it was and where it is?
Grateful for any help - My Ancestor is R.W. Graves

I am looking for photographs of the old signal box that used to be at the Martin Moor crossing, which was between Blankney and what is now the Martin Moor Golf Club. I have plenty of photo’s of the Gate-House, but it is the signal-box that I need, also if anyone has a photo of the old railway station at Scopwick that too would be appreciated.

My name is Charles Anderson and I am co-ordinating the recording of War Memorials in Lincolnshire for the United Kingdom National Index of War Memorials.
I have recently been sent three photographs of memorials erected in the area. One was reported on in the Lincolnshire Chronicle of 26 August 1922 and was unveiled by Metheringham Wesleyan’s. The second reported in the same paper on 18 March 1921 by the Metheringham Primitive Methodist’s and the third was a memorial to the men from Tanvats who fell in the Great War. This one a can find no information on.
I would be grateful if someone could measure all three memorials for me and also if known, give me the date / year of when these memorials were placed in their present locations. Thanks

I found the Metheringham website to be very informative and thank you for this. I came on the site to search for ancestors, specifically Phoebe Flatters (born 1843). I see on the 1881 census that her mother, Mary Flatters (nee Broughton) was from Egypt. I would appreciate contact from anyone researching the FLATTERS. Thank you Richard Preston: rpre100755@aol.com

Love the site. Just retired and started looking into my family history. My Great Grandmother was born in Dunston and my Grandmother in Metheringham. Her name was Matilda GARRATT. I found this information on your 1881 Census. If there are any Garratt’s still in the area I would love to hear from them. Thanks
