Metheringham Area Forum Live

After a gap of a few months the Metheringham Area Forum is back - albeit in a slightly different guise. The old forum had to be closed because of uncontrollable spam. Unfortunately, the posts in the old forum could not be migrated across to the new one. So that they are not lost, they will remain available for the forseeable future.

Several alternatives were looked at before deciding upon the SMF solution, which privides excellent protection against spammers. This new forum has many layers of security which will hopefully eliminate the spam that blighted the previous forum.

The downside is that guests wishing to post a comment now have to register to use the forum. This is a simple process and the web team hope that guests will understand the need for this step.

One huge bonus is that the event diary which shares the same security features is also back on line at the same time. So, event organisers, register on the Forum and post details of your event in the event diary.
