March 8, 2007

Metheringham Over 60’s Club

Another busy day has passed and by the time you read this we will have held our annual General Meeting.

In December we held our Christmas Dinner which went off very well, members enjoyed a three course meal followed by sherry, tea or coffee and mince pies.

January we had an entertaining evening with John Campbell the Dean’s Verger and rounded off in February with the Ladies Barber Shop Choir. February 21st. we enjoyed a coach trip to Hodstock Priory to see the snowdrops, aconites and hellebores ,on the way home we stopped for a cream tea at Thorseby Hall (very nice but not good for our waistlines !!). The list of coach trips for 2007 is in the process of being finalised, see new membership cards for details, watch for posters of each trip in regard to times nearer the date, contact Doreen for details of seat availability etc. (321478).

Coffee Morning 10th March at 10.00 am all welcome, we have our usual stalls plus refreshments. Donations gratefully received for the stalls. Membership subscriptions are due at the April meeting, please ensure you come and renew your membership as we do have a list of people waiting to join. New members will be enrolled to the Club in May subject to places being available.

Guest are welcome at £1.00 per visit.
