Metheringham WI

Metheringham WI continues to attract new members with two more
enrolled at the February meeting last week. The last few meetings have
been out of the normal routine as the December social was cancelled at
the last minute due to the vandalism to the Methodist Hall heating
system.
In January members enjoyed a meal at Blankney Golf Club and 25
members also visited the Kinema in the Woods to see Miss Potter.
The February speaker was Tim Hudson with a talk and slides about his
trecking expeditions to Nepal entitled Sherpas and Snowmen though the
latter didn’t show their faces.
In March members will be attending the federation Spring Council meeting at Spalding and having their own AGM with Bingo and Pass the Parcel on March 21st. They will also be
attending a group meeting at Bassingham. The April meeting on Wednesday
18th April has Mr H Leach talking about Garden Colour through the Year
and in May The Resolutions meeting will be accompanied by Folk Music
from Nigel Creasey. Meetings are at 7.15p.m. in the Methodist Church
Rooms and visitors are welcome for £1.50 which includes raffle tickets
and refreshments.
