March 8, 2007

You don’t have to be M.A.D. but it does help!

The Summer Play for 2007 is a farce by Philip King.

‘See How They Run’ made its debut in 1945 and is one of the various farces which were very popular in this era. Just like the Whitehall farces this has all the ingredients of a rip-roaring comedy, playing on the old classic of mistaken identity, at its best.

This will be performed in the Village Hall over 2 weekends 6th,7th 13th and 14th July where we hope to hear the laughter of the audience all over the village.
Auditions will be held in March and the rehearsals will be twice weekly. The cast is for 6 men and 3 women.
Help is always needed in other areas. This play requires a boxed set which we need to build from scratch and we appeal to anyone who would like to help us to design, build, or even paint a set would be very welcomed. Even if you would like to make the tea for our thirsty workers!
Again, this is a major production for us, and I would like to welcome anyone who would like to join our company in whatever capacity either on stage or in the background.

Our Membership secretary can be reached on 01526 322633, and if you would like any more information about this play please ring me on 01526 321289
Looking forward to seeing you there.
