Major Website Update

logo As promised in the last MACLA news magazine, the MACLA website has undergone a bit of a makeover. If you're a regular visitor then you'll notice a few differences. Don't worry though as all your old favourites are still here.

Q. I liked the old look and feel. Why the change?
A. The original plan for the MACLA website way back in 2001 was for a few pages to make the Metheringham Area community aware of activities in their area. Thanks to many contributions and suggestions from individuals and groups, the site has grown to such a size that it was in danger of becoming unmanageable. Therefore the site needed restructuring and it seemed an ideal opportunity to redesign the layout at the same time to make it more user-friendly.

Q. Some pages still look the same. Why's that?
The MACLA website is quite large compared with most village community websites at some 500 pages. The webteam is quite small and all of us have other full time jobs. Over the next few months all the old style pages should gradually be updated to the new style.

Q. I'm responsible for xxxxx activity group. The details of my group are incorrect. How can I get them amended?
A. The webteam only publishes infromation that it is given by the community. If the information is out of date or incorrect, then email the web team with corrected details.

Q. I like/don't like a feature on the new site. How do I tell the webteam?
The best way is to leave a message in the forums. If you're too shy to leave a public message then you can send the web team an email. We are particulary interested if a feature doesn't work as expected for you.
