The University of the Third Age is an organisation open to all persons who have retired from full-time employment (no 'A' Levels required !!!!) . The local 'campus' which celebrated it's third anniversary in March, has approximately 130 members and more than 25 activity-centred Groups.
Monthly General Meetings, addressed by guest speakers, are well attended and most members participate in one or several of the Groups whose activities range from conversational French, literature, local history. archaeology, painting for pleasure, and music appreciation, to Mah Jong, quiz teams, walks groups and a luncheon club.
