Friends of Dunston School
The Friends of Dunston School have had a fantastic Spring Term of fundraising events. Our February Charity Auction raised over £1,200, with proceeds shared School and N.C.H. The Children’s charity. Our annual Race Night in april at the red Lion raised over £1,600. This will go a long way towards providing new books and fixtures for the proposed new library at Dunston St Peter’s C.E. Primary School.
We have two summer events for your diary:
Duck Races – 16 June 3 pm Dunston Green.
We will have a stall at the Twinning Associations Annual Duck Race.
Summer Fayre – 14 Jul 1 pm – 3 pm Dunston St Peter’s CE Primary School
All the usual attractions: Bouncy Castle, BBQ, Cake stall, Bric-a-Brac, Scopwick Angels Display team.
Please come and join us.
The F.O.D.S. have just launched an exciting new scheme, for which we are actively seeking your help. We have now got an eBay Auction Account and are appealing for donations of new or used items, from DVD’s to old jewellery to account on our account. All proceeds go directly to providing equipment for the children. If you can help by donating an item, or would like to enquire if something is suitable, and to arrange collection (convenient to you), please telephone 05601 408998 (calls cost 35p per min) or drop your item off at school.
By clearing away your unwanted clutter you could be making someone else’s day, as well as contributing to the education of the children in your community!
