Meg Village Centre Regeneration
Design company Electric Wig have been selected by representatives of
Metheringham Parish Council, MACLA, North Kesteven District and Lincolnshire County Councils as lead artists for the Metheringham regeneration scheme planned for the centre of the village around the Health Centre and Library.
Tim Denton and Johanna Van Daalen have worked in the District before, having
recently completed the successful Billinghay refurbishment scheme, which
included original furniture as well as a very special heritage trail that
features specially made Zoetropes.
Tim and Johanna were selected because of their enthusiasm for the scheme and
place and because of their desire to make improvements that had a long lasting
and positive impact upon the village scape and its residents.
The scheme was advertised as a chance to create a garden on the theme of Mind
and Body Health, picking up on the location. Tim and Johanna's approach will be
to run design and consultation sessions so that residents can help them identify
the sorts of things that might be appropriate, building on their passion for
gardening and designing quality distinctive furniture.
Anybody who shares these passions, would like to be involved in design or
practical art sessions, or just wants to have a say about the regeneration
scheme, please contact Nick Jones from artsNK on 01529 411190 or email
