Metheringham Area L.I.V.E.S Update
We have had a busy time since the last M.A.C.L.A Issue, we have recruited 5 new active responders and we have been fundraising for a new kit for the group and I am very pleased to say we now have the money in place to buy a new kit which means we will have more responders out on the road. Huge thanks to all organisations who have contributed to this worthy cause including Branston Produce, Scopwick Parish Council, Dunston Parish Council, St Winifred’s Church Metheringham, Nocton Parish Council, George and Eileen Holmes and the villagers of Potterhanworth, Metheringham Brownies Thank you so much to every one how has helped. Our Rock and Roll Night held at Easter was a big success thanks to Three Parts Cut Butch Maggie and all at the Star and Garter who helped make the night such a success, not forgetting the responders who gave up there time to help run it.
The latest news is A Big Big Thanks to Ros Treadwell of Dunston who ran the London Marathon for us and M.A.W.S with which we were given a huge cheque for £1,167.00 to help us. A big Thank you to The Halifax Lincoln and every one who helped to sponsor Ros in here brilliant achievement.
We are doing a sponsored swim with Metheringham Swimming pool Association and we are going to hopefully swim round the world this is taking place on June 29th beginning at 9.00pm Yep we are going to swim through the night there will be a barbecue, hot and cold drinks and a raffle, sponsor forms will be available in info links and other outlets please support us and both L.I.V.E.S and M.A.D.S.P.A need money to keep running. Please come along on the night and support all our swimmers and join in the fun. Contact my self or Anne Priest 49 Alfred Ave Metheringham for information.
One Last thing I would just like to add we are desperately looking for some fundraising helpers to help attend functions for us as the active 1st responders are all very busy and really struggle to do Responding and fund raising so if you would like to help us please contact me. And one very last thing A big Big Thank you to all the Responders who without there duties we would not be able to function
