Heighington & District Social Club for the Blind & Partially Sighted

The club reopened on the 12 September when the brainpower of the members was put to the test with a musical quiz.

On the 26 September Richard N Marriott kept members spellbound with tales and laughter about his experiences as a Toastmaster.

The club held a Harvest auction on the 10 October when The Rev. Stephen Jones-Crabtree helped to raise £55 after which members enjoyed a scrumptious birthday tea from Joyce Money, celebrating her 75th birthday.

On the 24 October members enjoyed an informative talk by Elaine Spielby on the Government's Scheme, Reading with Children.

Moving into November the meeting on the 7th heard J Hennell give a talk on a mining family. Then on 21 November, members enjoyed a concert with their sister club from North Hykeham.

The last meeting of the year on 5 December the club go out for a Christmas lunch at the Canwick Golf Club.
The club will re-open on 9 January 2008.
