On Sunday 27th April, Metheringham FC Sunday 2nd XI rounded off an excellent weekend for Metheringham by beating Heighington 8-0. In do so, they clinched Lincoln Sunday League Division 1 title.
Metheringham FC overcame Cherry Knights in a thrilling Cup Final at Sincil Bank to lift the Horace Franklin Cup. Goals by Jon Miller(2), Matt Purbrick and Guy Goodwin helped Metheringham to a convincing 4-0 win.

Congratulations to Metheringham Saturday XI on reaching the Horace Franklin Cup Final by beating Harby 8-0 in semi final. Goals came with a hattrick from captain Guy Goodwin, two from centre half Matt Abbott, and one each from veteran defender James Metheringham midfield player Billy Fox and 16 year old substitute Rikki Smith. The final will take place at Sincil Bank on Sat 26th April at 2.00 pm where they will meet Cherry Knights
