News Magazine 34 Spring 2009 - Editor's Corner

Welcome to the Spring Issue of your Community Magazine and can I just say how it is becoming more and more about the community as a whole. Because of the response from new contributors a further four pages have had to be added to accommodate all the articles which must now have something to interest everyone. As you will notice two local parish councils now have a greater input and that is so they can achieve their ambitions of becoming Quality Councils. We wish them well as all members of local council give their time to the community free of charge and without doubt, they continually strive to improve the quality of our local communities.

As we move into the better weather you will see, in this issue, the many events taking place for you to support. I myself would just like to say a BIG "well done" to all involved in the recent MAD pantomime production - it was superb and those who did not get to see it missed a treat.

Getting back to this edition of your local news I welcome new contributors from our local Guides Group and Dunston St Peter's School and I hope they are able to become regular contributors.
