Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to the 2008 appeal. You raised £2,334.46. This is £200 down on last year's total despite the generous donation made at the Remembrance Service and at the Metheringham Feast.

I would like to praise all those who collected door to door and those who, for personal reasons, have decided to hang up their poppy selling boots. Your efforts really are appreciated.

The number of volunteers had dropped by about 50% in the few years that I have been Poppy Appeal Organiser. I would like to think that more people will offer their services this year.
