Metheringham Football Club Presentations - 2008/09
On the evenings of 22 / 23 May Metheringham Football Club held its Juniors' end of season presentation evenings in the village hall. Lincoln City player Danny Hone attended to make the presentations with the first evening seeing the Under 7s up to Under 10s and then on Saturday it was the turn of the Under 11s to Under 14s.

Achievement awards were also presented, ranging from 50 club appearances to 150 and 50 club goals to 200 goals, the latter being won by Ridwan Sadi who netted his 200th club goal in just 61 games! - some record
The climax of the evenings was the presenting of the most prestigious awards.
The Under 13s managers - Roy Rogers, Barry Houlden and Maureen Greenaway received the Stan Ford Memorial Award for the Managers of the Season.
The Dayne Grove Memorial Trophy for the Young Player of the Season went to Under 16 Elliott Ward.
Two new awards were also presented - the first being The Golden Gloves Award for the Junior Goalkeeper who had (on average) conceded the least goals This was won by Under 8s keeper Jacob Burrell who conceded just 1.53 goals a game.
The second award was for the Golden Boot Award for the player who scored the most goals (on average) - this award was shared by Under 13s striker Ridwan Sadi and Under 11s player Harry Wright, who both scored a manificent, 2.66 goals per game.
Finally the last award was the Roger Dawson Club Personality Award - this went to Graham Whitehouse who was out every Sunday refereeing at least one of the club's junior games and sometimes as many as three - well done Graham and thank you for your efforts.
