Metheringham Amateur Dramatics Update Spring 2010

After a very successful pantomime, which was very well received from our audiences, we are now able to let you know what we are going to perform over the year.

Our next production will be 'Allo 'Allo written by David Croft and Jeremy Lloyd and is the stage comedy play taken from the very famous TV series. I am sure some of you will remember, this is set in Rene's Cafe somewhere in occupied France during the 2nd World War. This very funny play, is a tale of intrigue revolving around the fallen Madonna with the big boobies!! .

MAD will be performing this in Metheringham Village Hall on June 18th, 19th 25th and 26th June 2010 and this production will be directed by Sally Wilson.

There will also be a special Gala Charity performance on Thursday 17th June in aid of St Wilfrid's Church Dry Rot Fund and all proceeds will go to this worthy cause.

The auditions will have already taken place and the cast will be in place when this magazine goes to print, but if you would like to be part of the production crew, please contact Fran Pembery, the producer, on 01526320827. Help is always needed with front of house, publicity or back stage.

MAD has also been asked to perform the very successful 'Shakespeare Review' which we performed in the village Hall last year, at Sleaford Little Theatre in May. This is part of their festival of plays and further details can be found by contacting Sue Kelly on 0152 321951.

Our autumn production is being written, as I speak, by Rob Halls and will be about radio productions from the 1930's onwards.

We are always delighted to see new members and if you would like to join MAD please contact me Sally on 01526 321289.

Look forward to seeing you.

Sally Wilson
