Heighington Blind Club Update Summer 2010
On 3 March Bill Hodgson gave the members an informative talk on walking sticks and brought many samples of his work.
Two weeks later Tony Stephens gave a talk on Wind Instruments and played the clarinet. Then on 31 March members enjoyed a social afternoon.
The first meeting in April welcomed Jean Wernyke and her four legged friend with Jean giving a talk on Support Dogs.
On 21 April Colin North gave a very interesting talk on "Snails, Not What you Think".
On 4 May Rod Fanthorpe gave a talk on Lincolnshire Superstitions, which brought back a lot of childhood memories for the members.
On 19 May the club held its 8th AGM. Two representatives from the South Lincs Blind Society gave a brief update on the society and brought various aids for sale.
