Lindum Accordion Club and the Duo Kyiv

On Wednesday 21 July, the Club are privileged to be hosting a concert by the internationally acclaimed "Duo Kyiv".

For a few years now, Igor Sayenko and Oleksiy Kolomoiets have included the UK in their annual tour, raising money for the "Hippokrat Society" which supports the surviving victims of the Chernobyl disaster. Both guys are in their late twenties, but play with an accomplished flair that is beyond their years, and the reviews they received during last year's tour were glowing in their praise.

The style of the music is mainly a mix of popular light classics and eastern European folk music. One of last year's reviewers claimed that the applause for their first number (a selection from "The Nutcracker Suite") was so rapturous that it seemed to last longer than the piece itself.

The evening will start at 7.30pm, in Wragby Town Hall. There is no admission charge, but the audience will be invited to make a voluntary donation to the work of the Hippokrat Society during the course of the evening. Light refreshments will be available during the interval.

For anyone with a true love of music, this is an evening not to be missed.
