Metheringham FC - Senior / U18 Presentation 2009/10 Season

The Football club held their Senior / U18 presentation at Nando's on the Brayford at Lincoln on Friday 4th June with around 65 members present.

The Under 18s had won the Intermediate Central league on goal difference from long time leaders Manor United. This was done by virtue of winning their last nine games. Captain Andy Miles was presented with the trophy by local league referee Mark Thomson. All players were then presented with medals.

The club awards were then presented with U18 manager praising his team and making the following awards.

Dave Atkin the Sun 2nd XI manager then thanked his players and praised them for having finished a creditable 3rd in Div 3. He made the following presentations.

Steve Asher for the Sun 1st XI said the first team had had a difficult season but retained their Premier League status making them the longest established side in the top flight. The 1st XI awards were made to

Stuart Robinson on behalf of the Saturday XI congratulated his players on finishing 6th in the league and suggested the side could even go another step next year. His awards were as follows:

The final two trophies presented closed the evening.

The first was for the Roger Dawson Club Personality and this was awarded to Graham (Butch) Bromfield for his dedication and commitment to the club as patron of the Star & Garter over the last 10 years (unfortunately he was unable to be present).

The second, the Wood / Ford Young Player of the Season and this went to Mark Jordan.
