Metheringham News - 7th October 2010

New Age Kurling dates for the remainder of 2010 are as follows:
October 15th and 29th, November 5th and 12th and December 3rd. All sessions are at 7.00p.m. in the village hall and open to all ages and abilities. Charge is £3 per head per session or £10 for a family (2 adults, 2 children).

Metheringham Over 60s will be entertained by local vocalist Sharna at their next meeting on November 3rd in the village hall at 7.00p.m..
Guests are welcome for £2.

The level crossing will be closed on Tuesday 19th October between 8.30 and 15.30 to allow for essential maintenance work.

Metheringham High Street will be closed on Saturday 23rd October between 12 noon and 23.00 between the Fen Road and Drury Street junctions to allow the Fayre and Feast to take place. There will also be parking restrictions on the High Street. This year's theme is Heroes and Heroines.

The Spires and Steeples Challenge will be passing through Metheringham on Sunday 17th October. Runners are going from Lincoln to Sleaford and walkers are taking the 13mile route from Metheringham to Sleaford. Come out and cheer them on if you are not joining in or helping with stewarding.
