Minutes of the Nocton Parish Council meeting held on Tuesday the 14th of September 2010 in the village hall

1) Declaration of Prejudicial Interest in Accordance With the Ethical Code of
2) Police: Two crimes reported since the last meeting. The hospital gates are now locked. LEDA (Nick Hardcastle) are aware of the asbestos on the site. LEDA have written to the police that no one has been granted permission to remove material from the site. There had been a motor accident at the B1188/B1202 junction.
3) Public Questions: Twelve sets of 'cat's eyes' are missing from Main Street. The road surface on Potterhanworth Road by the Wasps Nest junction needs attention, and the vegetation at the top of Wellhead Lane is overgrown, LCC highways to be informed. Large domestic recycling bins are available for a small fee from NKDC.
4) Litter: Mr.Sidney was paid for August.
5) The Minutes of the August meeting after amendment were proposed as correct by Ms. Wilson, seconded by Mrs Williams and signed by the Chair.
Cleaning out the beck is on NKDC's agenda. No planning application has been submitted for the land on Wellhead Lane, it is outside the village curtailage.
Play area, no progress the clerk is to write to Mr.Glew Chairman to the school governing body.
Allotments - still some plots available, suggested that this be publicised at upcoming events.
V.H settlement - a letter from Uretek asking for an update on drains repairs, the clerk to reply. A decision to be made at the next meeting on further work.
No progress on a surface for The Green, D.Cllr.Rose will get info. from NKDC on products, prices and companies used by them
Not contacted Scopwick P.C. yet regarding 'Duck' signs.
The bat survey in the Church has been completed.
NKDC have replied to our queries regarding the Sowerby compound.

A Committee meeting was held on the 1st Sep. Coffee morning last Wednesday. October 1st Lincolnshire Day celebrations include a meal with wine, all Lincolnshire produce, and entertainment provided by The Silver Sounds Band, tickets £10

NKDC have received the report from Anders Glenn. Karen Bradford would like to attend the next meeting, she is now able to attend on a Tuesday, so the day of the meeting will not need to be changed.

The information from Geoff Hall discussed, Mrs Williams had attended the meeting arranged in Metheringham, she had not been impressed. After further discussion it was agreed by all present that councillors would not attend any liaison meetings as an official, if anyone wished to attend they would do so as a parishioner. BBC 5 Live have invited Mrs. Williams to speak on air 22nd Sep. the interview will take place in the village.

C.Cllr.Overton gave an update on the CC budget cuts, all 8 care homes recommended for closure are to go out to tender, the last remaining 8 are run by St Johns. The Primary Care Trust is being discussed now. If concessionary fares are cut it may mean that bus services may be reduced.

a) Meetings are normally held on the first Tuesday each month, if for some reason this has to be chanced it is minuted at the previous meeting and the notice put in the notice box.
The next meeting confirmed as Tuesday October 5th 2010 at 7pm in the village hall.
There being no other business the meeting closed at 8.54pm.
