Dunston Dossier
September saw the birth of a free monthly newsletter and website for residents of Dunston.
Although there are Notice Boards located around the village and households receive the quarterly edition of MACLA, the monthly Parish Magazine and specific leaflet drops, there is no central point where everyone can read ALL that is going on in the village and find out about other local matters that will affect villagers.
The Dunston Dossier has been created by Diana Hammond and Jean Ford, with funding in place for one year to publish a monthly newsletter and a website to provide information about Dunston. It is in no way competing with the MACLA or the Parish Newsletter but aims to complement them in keeping villagers informed.
The newsletter will strive to be independent and impartial, providing factual details and sources of information on controversial issues. It will provide details of events, fund raising, services, clubs and societies in Dunston.
The website, www.dunstondossier.org.uk, is updated whenever new information is received and contains more information on the topics covered in the printed newsletter which is distributed for the beginning of each calendar month.
It was going to be called the Dunston Diary but at a glance that could have been read as Dairy and given the current major topic concerning villagers it was decided to call it the Dunston Dossier.
LATEST:
Dunston Dossier will endeavour to keep people abreast of the present position regarding the proposed - Nocton Dairy
