Dunston Methodist Church Update Winter 2010

Following the Harvest weekend- coffee morning and Harvest Festival service (Dunston Churches together), we were able to send £200 to the Nomad trust in Lincoln. On 30 October St John cadets used the chapel as a base for their night hike. Fortunately the evening was mild and dry and they had a great time.

As we accept the darker evenings and feel the pleasure of drawn curtains and a good warm fire, we are looking forward to the Christmas season and all it brings. After discussion with St Peter's church it has been agreed that instead of the midnight service at the Chapel on Christmas Eve we will meet on the green for carols. This will give families an opportunity to share in the real meaning of Christmas and to celebrate the coming into the world of Jesus.

We serve two hot courses with a choice of tea or coffee - only £3.00

Good food, good service ( well sort of ! ) and very good company.
