Star and Garter Vegetable and Produce Show - September 2010

Back in September, the Star and Garter management of Paul and Andy, faced a big challenge in attempting to recreate the success of previous Vegetable and Produce Shows,, which have become such an important fixture in the life of the community. This they achieved very successfully and as well as having a good display of show entries, a rich array of produce in the auction, a quality raffle and a room full of happy people, the afternoon raised £540.

This money was split equally between Metheringham Area LIVES First Responders and the Senior Citizens' Welfare Committee.

Judges for the competitions were Bill and Mollie Chambers and the Auctioneer was Dennis Bowler.

Andy, from the Star, thanked everyone for their support and Dennis Bowler thanked the staff for all their support and hard work to make the event a success. Jenni Honisett paid the top price for the traditional mystery auction lot. Her house should now be spotless.
