Wolves in Sheep's Clothing

The high price of metal, especially lead, has led to an increase in thefts from churches. This quote is from the two Archdeacons in the Lincoln Diocese.

"Several people have reported an increase in criminals using legitimate-looking safety clothing, signage, and branded vehicles to cover metal thefts. Pretending to be genuine workmen means they can hide in plain sight and remove metal and lead from church roofs in broad daylight. If you have suspicions, ask questions of workmen and check with those who may have authorised the work. If you have any concerns phone the police immediately".

The village parish churches belongs to everyone in your village, so let's all keep a special eye on them.
