Dunston Twinning Association Update Spring 2011

We have now started a new year and we are busy planning for forthcoming events.
In April there are 44 of us travelling across to Trange via Eurostar where we will spend 3 whole days with our families. During this visit we also spend a lot of the time in a whole group, enjoying whatever events they have got planned for us.

The Duck Race this year is 2 July 2011, 2pm onwards so put this date in your diaries. It's a great day.

We continue to try and attract new families, especially families with young children. We have at the moment one French family with young children waiting to be matched with either families from Dunston, Nocton or Metheringham, so come on, give it some thought. It is not only great fun but an education for the children, and the adults have a great time as well.

We are thinking of introducing a savings plan for families who wish to put money aside for when we travel to Trange. The cost of any visit either to them or them to us is not vast, because as an organisation we heavily subsidise the cost when they visit us.
