Dunston Methodist Church Update Summer 2011

We are very sad at this time due to the death of one of our members, Frank Lamyman. Frank was an exceptional man, a true Christian with a love for people and a positive approach to everything. He was a faithful member of the church, serving as steward for many years and also keeping the garden in good order. He was rarely missing at worship on Sundays and attended circuit events with Mary whenever possible. He was not only willing to accept change, he was enthusiastic about anything new and was a tremendous encouragement to our church as it seeks to stay relevant to the current generation.
We will all miss Frank tremendously and our love and prayers go to his family.

At Dunston we are continuing with Messy Church and the last one considered the story of Samuel choosing a King " God looks at the heart ." The children enjoyed acting out the story and we managed to produce a life size drawing of the internal organs of one of the children!!

Lunch club dates are 17 June / 15 July / 16 Sept / 21 Oct

We are having Strawberries in the Garden on Saturday 9 July from 2-4 pm with a cake stall and some games. We would love to see you.
