K9 Walkers
K9 walkers is a small dog friendly walking group who organise regular walks from different venues out into the local countryside. There are many well documented health benefits to regular exercise and we are now into the warmer weather making it an ideal time to take up walking if you have never done much before. We cover the Lincoln and Sleaford areas so the MACLA Area is close to the middle of our patch.
The walks usually take 40mins to an hour and a quarter (at a steady pace) and then afterwards, for those who wish to, we visit a pub/cafe to recover and have a good natter (of course this bit is optional! - we know not everybody has enough spare time to do this as well).
Not everybody who comes on our walks has a dog; actually it is always a bonus to us if someone comes who does not have one as it is a free pair of hands. However walks are chosen with the dogs in mind so we tend to avoid stiles, cattle fields etc. Some of our walks would also be suitable for wheelchairs.
We are very fortunate around here to have such a wide range of well marked paths within a relatively small area. Not everybody realises what good walking there is just a short drive away. In addition to the walks we also organise a couple of extra events each year such as the summer outing and a Christmas party.
If you do not have transport, this is not necessarily a problem, as currently there can always be extra space in other cars.
We have a webpage for further information at www.k9walkers.org.uk or alternatively call Clare on 07795986460

Dear Clare,
As per my recent telephone conversation, please add me to your address list of walks that you are doing.
Many thanks
Kind regards
Gillian
