Sa Fire in Branston on Saturday 16 July, will bring together a dazzling maze of winding paths and labyrinths leading to the beauty of light and colour within the Luminarium - a spectacular inflatable sculpture.

But we need your help ...
Are you a local actor or budding actor? Can you play a historic character and help us link the whole day together? We need people to perform as:
• Blacksmith
• Vicar
• Tramp
• A Master of Ceremonies
The performances will take place on Saturday 16 July at the Pavilion Playing fields in Branston. You'll be working with Rhubarb Theatre who will be rehearsing on Sunday 3rd and 10th July at the Terry O Toole Theatre, North Hykeham. All the characters can be played by men or women and there will be no auditions - just first come ...

So if you are interested please contact Kirsty on 01400 275133 or email her at info@rhubarbtheatre.co.uk and let her know which character you are interested in playing and whether you can commit to all day or simply spare a morning or afternoon.

Sa Fire in Branston takes place throughout the village, incorporating existing artworks along the arts and heritage trail, new light installations in the church and on the village green as well as the amazing Lumunarium, and labyrinth situated on the Pavilion Playing Field off Moor Lane.

The artsNK team are currently working with residents and students to design, make, compose and choreograph original performances and artworks but also need
volunteers to help with stewarding, car parking and site set up during the Sa Fire weekend. If you have the energy and enthusiasm we value your skill.

Help us make Sa Fire in Branston a unique experience not to be missed.

Sa Fire is a series of arts events that re-tell the stories of the villages along the route of the Spires & Steeples Arts and Heritage Trail. It was launched at the end of May at Lincoln Cathedral/Bishop's Palace and will travel to Branston on 16 July before the closing ceremony in Sleaford on 29 October 2011. The festival will allow local residents to celebrate and shape what makes their community special and be a part of the national Cultural Olympiad programme.

SaFire Festival is part of Igniting Ambition, a Cultural Olympiad programme in the East Midlands which invests in projects and people that take the London 2012 Games as their inspiration to create once-in-a-lifetime cultural opportunities for audiences and communities. Igniting Ambition is funded by Legacy Trust UK, an independent charity set up to create a cultural and sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the European Regional Development Fund and the East Midlands Development Agency, with the support of Arts Council England and many others.

Legacy Trust UK is an independent charity set up to create a cultural and sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games across the UK and is also a Principal Funder of the Cultural Olympiad and London 2012 Festival. The Trust is funded by a £40 million endowment from the Big Lottery Fund (£29m), Department for Culture Media and Sport (£6m) and Arts Council England (£5m).

The ERDF programme aims to strengthen economic and social cohesion in the European Union by supporting regional economic development. For more information on ERDF funding generally, please visit www.erdf.communities.gov.uk
