Computer Scam Alert

Please be aware that we are receiving reports from the Lincolnshire region regarding what appears to be a computer scam.

Individuals have received a phone call from a caller purporting to be from Microsoft. The caller advised that they were working for Microsoft Windows Online Support Management Team. The individuals were instructed to download a remote control sharing software called AMMYY. The caller advised that the individual's computer was sending through error messages and the software should be downloaded to allow the caller to examine the computer system.

Please DO NOT carryout any instructions to give remote access to your computer or give any personal details over the phone - Simply END the phonecall immediately.

Please remain vigilant when being asked for personal details or access to your computer from an unknown source.
