Appointment of an Independent Person

APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT PERSON
LOCALISM ACT 2011
We are looking for someone to take on the new role of 'Independent Person' for the North Kesteven District Council and the Town and Parish Councils within the District of North Kesteven.
District and Parish Councillors work to an agreed Code of Conduct and you will be required to give your opinion on any complaints that are received. You will also be required to give advice following any investigation.
Applicants cannot be related to, or be a close friend of, current or former Councillors or Officers of North Kesteven District Council or the Town and Parish Councils within the district of North Kesteven.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high standards in public life and should show an interest in local government.
This is considered to be a voluntary role, however, you will be able to claim travel expenses.
