Metheringham Amateur Dramatics - Summer 2012

Once again MAD was invited to appear at Sleaford Little Theatre, presenting one act plays as part of The Sleaford Live Comedy Festival. Over two evenings we performed a black comedy called Strawberry Jam written by Bruce Fisk. If you did not get the chance to go to Sleaford, we are performing this play in Metheringham Village Hall on 15 / 16 June, along with another one act black comedy called Murder in Mind by John Waterhouse. Prepare for an evening of laughter and intrigue! During the interval we will hold a 'Just for Fun Quiz'.

The pantomime, Red Riding Hood by Norman Collins, was a success, despite the poor weather. The cast and crew had a very enjoyable time putting it together, and quite a few of us found that we had unknown talents, from sausage painting to tree making!!

Later on this year we are planning to put on a revue through the decades in celebration of the Queen's 60 years on the throne. This will be a variety show from the1950's to present day, including sketches, dancing and singing.

If anyone is interested in joining us for this - or any other productions, on or off the stage, please contact Fran Pembery 01526 320827 or Sue Kelly 01526 327951
