Old Photographs - A Request

| | Comments (0)

Can anyone help please on a couple of issues?

Issue One - I was born at the Green Man pub in Fen Lane, Metheringham.
We used to have some pictures of the building showing the pub sign. I seem to remember that Grandad Nicholson, the licensee, was standing in the doorway. My family and I can not find the pictures any more and if anyone has got any of these could we please beg a copy please.
Issue Two - Our Dad, Jock Byers, played football for Meg, Blankney and Dunston. My brother George also thinks he may have played for TanVats and Martin as well. He is not shown on any of the pictures of football teams on MACLA website so if anyone has any pictures with him in them, we would love to beg a copy of these too please!!
Thanks
Young Jock - (Peter Byers)

A fine result.
All the fine detail can now be seen.

Thanks go to the Metheringham Co-op who sponsored the work.

Barking Mad

Hi,

My name's Jacqueline and I run Barking Mad Home From Home Pet Care - the No.1 alternative to Kennelling. My area is roughly from Lincoln across to the east coast.

Barking Mad is a unique service where pets are cared for in a home environment by a select host family, where their daily routine for exercising and feeding is maintained. Host families have satisfied, without exception, our meticulous criteria and are genuine pet lovers.

We offer a complete service including the collection and delivery of pets, and we always keep our customers regularly updated which is, of course, most reassuring.

Due to the popularity of the service we are also looking for families who would like to act as 'hosts' and are willing to welcome a visiting dog into their home. If a family is unable to have a dog of their own, they can enjoy the benefits of dog ownership on a part-time basis by becoming a host for Barking Mad.

For more information please contact our website at www.barkingmad.uk.com or ring 01522 753413.

Jacqueline
