A Youth Shelter, funded by Metheringham Parish Council with the aid of a couple of grants, has been opened at the car park to the Prince's Street Playing Fields.

Meg FC U15s League Champions 2007- 08

On Wed 30 Apr 08, Metheringham FC U15s capped an excellent week for the club when they clinched their league title. Glenn Marr scored with the last kick of the game to give the U15s a closely fought victory over Heckington. The 6-5 win gave Metheringham the 2 points they need to lift the league title.

On Sunday 27th April, Metheringham FC Sunday 2nd XI rounded off an excellent weekend for Metheringham by beating Heighington 8-0. In do so, they clinched Lincoln Sunday League Division 1 title.

Metheringham FC overcame Cherry Knights in a thrilling Cup Final at Sincil Bank to lift the Horace Franklin Cup. Goals by Jon Miller(2), Matt Purbrick and Guy Goodwin helped Metheringham to a convincing 4-0 win.

Congratulations to Metheringham Saturday XI on reaching the Horace Franklin Cup Final by beating Harby 8-0 in semi final. Goals came with a hattrick from captain Guy Goodwin, two from centre half Matt Abbott, and one each from veteran defender James Metheringham midfield player Billy Fox and 16 year old substitute Rikki Smith. The final will take place at Sincil Bank on Sat 26th April at 2.00 pm where they will meet Cherry Knights

Aerial Imagery

We've added a new page to the MACLA site that features a side by side comparison of 2 different aerial imagery sources. Both maps have full interactive functionality and are linked, so that what you do in one is reflected in the other.

You don't have to stick to the Metheringham Area. If you zoom out far enough, re-centre on the place you are interested in and then zoom back in, it'll still work.

If you can work out which of the imagery sources, Google or Microsoft, is the most current, then add a comment below.

The Metheringham Parish Council pages have been reorganised in order to make them easier to read. As part of the housekeeping, a map has been included showing the Metheringham Parish Boundary.

The boundary overlay has been manually encoded using the Google Maps API and may contain some minors errors around the edges.
